Tripadvisor has published the 2022 ranking of the best beaches in the world. It is all part of the now known Travelers' Choice Awards. The list provided takes shape thanks to user reviews and the score attributed by individual travelers throughout the year. The idea is to put the "real travelers" in charge, giving them the word and rewarding the experiences firsthand. Is there room for Italy in the ranking? Of course, but in the top 10 only one beach belongs to our country.
Top 10 beaches in the world
It is no coincidence that almost all of the top 10 (9 out of 10 beaches) are on islands. Generally speaking in these areas it is possible to highlight a greater protection of the territory, leaving more space for uncontaminated nature than what happens on the mainland.
Italy confirms its presence with the same beach indicated in last year's Tripadvisor ranking. This is the Rabbit Beach, located on the island of Lampedusa. Gets the tenth place in the world rankings. It is the first site in Europe on this special list. To find the second one you have to go down to 12th place, Praia da Falesia in Portugal, and again to 17th place for Playa de Muro Beach in Spain.
