It has reopened to the public City of Science. It will be possible to access the large museum from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 to 17.00. The area was created for the promotion and dissemination of science managed by the IDIS-City of Science Foundation and located in the Bagnoli district in Naples.
Fans of astronomy, nature, physics and biology will thus return to cultivate their passion while having fun with the exhibition areas present. During these first months of reopening it will be possible to access the spaces at a very special price to visit the Corporea museum, attend the exciting 2D shows of the Planetarium and participate in the fun workshop activities planned during the weekends and holidays.
In the autumn there are many new features with the new editions of Futuro Remoto and the Three Days for the School as well as interesting surprises not yet revealed. The cost of tickets (valid until November 30th) will be as follows:
- for adults and children: museum entrance € 5, planetarium entrance € 3, guided tour of the meeting point included in the entrance ticket to the museum;
- for school groups: museum entrance € 5, planetarium entrance € 3, guided tour / educational activity € 3;
- entrance to the planetarium only: € 5.
Tickets can be purchased online on the etes website or at the city of science ticket office.
How to access
To access the museum Reservations will no longer be required, but it will be mandatory for all visitors over the age of 12 to show the Green pass and, upon request, a valid identity document. Only those exempt on the basis of suitable medical certification are exempt. The obligation to use the mask from 6 years of age and respect for interpersonal distancing remains valid.
Visitors will be able to stay inside the exhibition areas for as long as they want and interact directly, even without a guide, with the exhibits.

What is City of Science
The origin of City of science was born in 1987 thanks to the scientist Vittorio Silvestrini who conceived the first edition of the Futuro Remoto festival, held at the Mostra d'Oltremare. The success of the initiative led to the creation of the IDIS Foundation. City of Science was created by the Foundation itself thanks to a program agreement signed in 1996 together with the Ministry of the Budget, the Campania Region, the Province of Naples and the Municipality of Naples.
At the center of it all is the dissemination of scientific culture through exhibitions, meetings with scientists, campaigns and activities to promote science and technology, but also intelligent fun for the whole family. Currently the exhibition areas I'm:
- Corporea, the Museum of the Human Body
- 3D Planetarium
- Interactive exhibition dedicated to the sea
- INSECTS & CO. The new exhibition area dedicated to insects
- Show Mission Antarctica
- Extreme Tour Show
There are also laboratory spaces where all the activities dedicated to families and schools are carried out in the weekly programming.
To underline the presence of 3D Planetarium largest in Italy and among the most beautiful in Europe. The structure has a diameter of 20 meters, seats 120 and has a particular position that required the work of a group of skilled workers arrived from the USA. Thanks to this artifice, the public from all sessions will see practically only the dome in front of them. And, despite being together with 100 people in the room, everyone will feel at the center of the scene. The acoustics have been particularly taken care of with an innovative technological solution to guarantee the public "a unique show".
