But it doesn't stop there. On the same day, other Italian volleyball victories arrived. Blue victory in Poland for the Italian national team under 22 men who won the gold medal in the final against France 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-22,25-21). Italy thus won the first edition of the Under 22 European Championships for men.
The under 18 men's national team is also European champion. Zanin's boys won the European Championships 2022 a Tbilisi (Georgia) and beat France 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-23) in the final.
The en plein then came with the victory of the Italian national team. The title won by the team led by coach Luca Pieragnoli brought Italy the fourth success in as many finals played on this historic day: 3-2 (17-25, 25-17, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11) the score with which the Italians defeated Serbia.
A day that will remain in the history not only of Italian volleyball, but of sports light blue. There was optimism in the air, of course, but few wagered that Italy would bring home 4 out of 4 wins. Congratulations to all the blue teams, Italy can smile.
