Amantea Comics, the event for the sharing and dissemination of pop culture and comics, organized for the first time in 2018 in the city of Amantea in the ever-vivid memory of her fellow citizen Stefania Mari, she prepares to return to the city. Maintaining the values of the event, which has always been focused on sharing, the strength of being together and the desire to spread Stefania's passions, This year Amantea Comics reaches the milestone of its fifth edition, establishing itself among the Calabrian events as a reference of Japanese culture and, more generally, of the "culture of humanity". Amantea Comics V for… will take place - strictly in the heart of the city of Amantea - in the days of 20 and 21 August 2022.
This edition bears the emblematic title of Amantea Comics V for… through which the fifth year from the birth of the event is signaled; and anyone who takes part in the event is invited to share what it represents in their personal experience. The 2022 edition will have its own well-defined main theme: the scheduled events, in fact, will all be aimed at highlighting the well-known belief of the "Red thread of destiny". Games, exhibitions, contests, seminars and all playful-artistic situations will, in fact, revolve around the concept, very widespread in Japan, of the inevitable intersection of destinies, despite adverse circumstances, time or dividing distances. There will be the usual participation of guests, industry experts and fans of Japanese culture. Another great return, strongly desired by the artistic direction, will be that of RPGs: after the restrictions due to the pandemic emergency, Amantea Comics will once again enjoy its moment of sociality par excellence, with RPGs of all kinds and, above all, many books and literary showcases, which will animate the Calabrian city at the moment of the sad closing of many local bookstores. The cinema of the master Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli will be the protagonists of the second day of the event, in which you can immerse yourself all together in the magical atmosphere of Japanese animation.
