The fourth edition of the Divina Colomba Award confirmed its response. Here is where you can taste the best colomba in Italy and who, on the other hand, can boast of being the first creative in our country when it comes to this pastry specialties.

Before we reveal the names of the winners in their respective categories, here's how this special ranking develops. It was defined by the technical commission of this edition of Divina Colomba. Its members have had the opportunity to blindly taste forty yeasts arrived at the final stage. Judging personalities of absolute depth, being Giambattista Montanari of the Accademia Maestri Pasticcieri d'Italia (president of the jury), Francesco Borioli, co-founder of Infermentum, Beniamino Bazzoli, winner of the Best Panettone award in the World 2020 (for the classic panettone) , Massimo Ferrante, winner of the Panettone World Cup in Lugano and Giuseppe Mancini, Andrea Barile and Matteo Dolcemascolo.

Divine Dove Award

To win the first place for the best Colomba of Italy is Stefano Lorenzoni of Arte Dolce Pasticceria, of Monte San Savino, in the province of Arezzo, in Tuscany. Here's where to go to taste the flavors of traditional craftsmanship, worthy of the gold medal. Behind him on the podium is Vincenzo Baiano of Caffè Baiano, of Marano, in the province of Naples, in Campania. The South also won third place with Vito Saccente from the Panificio Saccente in Palo del Colle, in the province of Bari, in Puglia.

Divina Colomba Award - Best Creative Dove

Il Award Divina Colomba also provides recognition for the creativeness. In this context, the first place went to Pompilius Garden of the Pompilio Bakery in Ariano Irpino, in the province of Avellino, in Campania. Also in this case 2/3 of the podium are southerners. Silver medal to Piero Netti of Chantilly Pastry of Castellana Grotte, in the province of Bari, in Puglia. Third place, finally, for Samuele Segala of the Bakery Pasticceria Segala di Fumane, in the province of Verona, in Veneto.
