Coca-Cola, sponsor of Euro 2020, has decided to pay homage to theItaly by Roberto Mancini after Kane and Southgate's win at Wembley against England. A success that came on penalties, with Donnarumma true protagonist. This is the second European triumph for the Azzurri, while the English remain at zero.

How to celebrate Insigne and companions? Coca-Cola has decided to do it its own way, launching aspecial edition for Euro 2020, dedicating it to samples. It should be noted, however, that it will not be easy to identify this variant, for sale in some selected points of sale and available while stocks last.

Coca-Cola, special edition

What is the limited edition of Coca-Cola dedicated to Roberto Mancini's Azzurri? Recognizing it is quite easy. On the label, below the wording "Coca-Cola Original Taste" there will be the wording "Euro 2020 Italian Champions". All enriched by a sea of confetti.

Anyone who has thought that the curtains in the press room could damage the image of the historic brand, will have to think again. The company has been able to exploit the whole affair to the fullest, strengthening itself. Just think of the resonance had by the fact that the new bottles proposed during the Europeans are made entirely in rPET. Also this limited edition, it must be specified, will be totally in 100% recycled plastic.

It goes without saying that the public will be divided into two types. There will be those who will have no qualms about opening and tasting the new Coke and those, on the other hand, will keep it jealously, without ever blowing the cork. Both types will be able to enrich their home with a small heirloom full of small tricolor confetti. A similar market move could not be missing, considering how Coca has been a sponsor of the European Championships since 1974.

The official comment

The Coca-Cola group expressed itself as follows on the project: “The design captures the euphoria of a magical moment, recalling the cascade of confetti that enveloped the fans at the end of the tournament as the cameras caught the delight of the champions on the Wembley pitch. The label thus presents the colors and the name of Italy and depicts the iconic Contour bottle of Coca-Cola in the illustration of the trophy ”.

He also expressed himself in this regard Raluca Vlad, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Italy: “We intend to continue to inspire fans by supporting their love of the sport. We invite you to overcome distances by sharing your passions, because when we cheer together there is even more taste ”.

Coca-Cola, curtains in the press room

For a phase of Euro 2020 there was a phase in which there was much talk of one of the main sponsors: Coca-Cola. It all started with Cristiano Ronaldo, who at the press conference removed the two bottles placed in front of the microphones, regular and zero version. The Portuguese champion then briefly explained how he much prefers water, so as to avoid excess sugar.

Other footballers later turned Coca-Cola away, while Pogba he did so with a bottle of Heineken, another sponsor, for religious reasons. There was no shortage of those who used the situation to laugh with the press, asking companies to cooperate.

The last curtain of the tournament involved Italy, European champion at Wembley against England at Southgate. UEFA has decided to reward Bonucci as the best player of the final. The Juventus defender therefore presented himself in the press room with his own trophy, starting to drink both a Coca-Cola and a Heineken: "I deserved them."
