Every year millions of tourists move through the regions of Italy in search of architectural, gastronomic and landscape beauties. Give her rural areas to big cities, there is no area that is not worth a trip. There are countless reasons to find out Ferrara and all its beauties. The Este city is able to amaze everyone, even those who believe they have already known it fully, in all its nuances. From today there is also a new way to visit the area: a treasure hunt.
Discovering Ferrara
Clues to be found and puzzles to be solved are at the center of the new Discovering Ferrara project, which includes a sort of virtual treasure hunt. Interested tourists will be able to enjoy thematic routes through the app Action bound, to be exploited on a smartphone or tablet. A project carried out by the Municipality of Ferrara, in collaboration with TryeCo2.0 and Sipro. The trade associations Ascom, Cna, Confartigianao and Confesercenti are also involved in the initiative. This opens the doors to a whole new way of exploring the Este world. Ferrara will have no more secrets to hide.
Tourists and locals will be able to try their hand at an intriguing virtual game, collecting clues and facing puzzles to solve. All this will allow you to explore the city passing through new and thematic routes, aimed at leading modern explorers directly to the treasure. Many commercial activities and shops have joined the project, essential stages of the game. In these areas it is also possible to aim for rewards.
Two paths
At the moment, two different routes have been made available. The first is culinary and is called Ferrara. Delights and Palate. All interested players will be able to discover the true local culinary tradition. Tradition reigns supreme, although the possibility of running into more modern proposals cannot be ruled out. But, inevitably, an eye is turned to the ancient Renaissance preparations.
The second path is, instead, artistic. The chosen name is Ferrara. Art and Cinema. Any player engaged in the treasure hunt will be able to discover one of the cradles of Italian cinema. The relationship between the Este city and the seventh art is in fact very rooted. The result of this hunt will certainly amaze everyone.
Discovering Ferrara, what to know
During the press conference to present the treasure hunt for the discovery of Ferrara, the municipal councilor for Tourism and Commerce, Matteo Fornasini, described the project as follows: “The intent is to guarantee the public a different and engaging way of discovering the city. All thanks to an offer of visiting itineraries that are alternative to traditional ones. Information of both historical and artistic as well as commercial interest will be conveyed ”.
Visitors will have routes to choose from via QR Code or simple search, following the relative instructions. Quizzes and puzzles alternate throughout the experience. Once in place, the player will have a virtual compass and map at their disposal. It is important to involve commercial premises which, in addition to any prizes, offer clues in case of difficulty.
