The successes of Italy in the sports field do not stop. In the wake of an exciting summer, to say the least, between the European football championships and the many medals at Olympics, the blue athletes continue to collect first places. This is what happened to the Polo European Championships, which saw Italy win the final against England. Once again the beautiful country against the British, once again we to exult. Something that acquires even more flavor at the thought that this can be defined as "their sport".
Everything took place at the Polo club La Mimosa of Pogliano Milanese, where the blue took part in the third final in three editions of the continental event, triumphing by measure.
The final of Italy
It was a thrilling final to say the least. England immediately strong on the pitch, considering the need to recover half a handicap goal. After a while, the English are ahead, with Camila Rossi able, however, to transform a free-kick from 40 yards, concluding the first chukker at 1-1. Second set for the British brand, with Tomlinson Wood and Millie Hughes in goal.
The blues, with an amazing Rossi, get back to 3-3, with England leading by a goal in the fourth chukker. It is in the fifth that the final was decided. Italy had two paths ahead of it. One would see her collapse under the English fury, the other, fortunately chosen, would allow her to play perfectly. Three more goals scored by Rossi and Maitana Marré, surprisingly reaching 6-4. Powerful recovery of the English, which however do not go beyond the draw. This is thanks to the containment work of our athletes. The tie has therefore handed the gold the trophy, taking advantage of the handicap.

Ginevra Visconti, veteran of the group, expressed herself as follows after this umpteenth Italian triumph: “It was a very difficult week, considering Costanza Marchiorello's injury in the first match against England. The girls were very good, from Camila Rossi to Alice Coria and Maitana Marré. We have had to face many problems and this success pays off ”.
