Gina Lollobrigida, the diva of divas disappears at 95. Born in Subiaco on 4 July 1927, Italy and the world say 'goodbye' to the iconic actress of cinema who has won seven David di Donatello, a Golden Globe, two Silver Ribbons. In addition, the legendary 'Lollo' has also won a star on the famous promenade of the stars, the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Directed by the greatest Italian directors, from De Sica to Germi, from Monicelli to Soldati, she worked alongside the greatest stars of the international star system such as Burt Lancaster, Humphrey Bogart, directed by John Huston and King Vidor. As a sculptor, she has produced numerous works which are exhibited around the world. Gina Lollobrigida made her film debut in 1947 with the film "Follie for the opera", soon reaching a vast popularity and becoming for the international public the most representative diva of Italian cinema of the post-war period. Since 1975 you have devoted yourself mainly to photography and to sculpture, a few years after the extraordinary television success with "The Adventures of Pinocchio", directed by Luigi Comencini, in which she played the Blue-haired Fairy. Among her films: “Altri tempi” (1951); “Fanfan La Tulipe” (1952); "The provincial" (1953); “Bread, Love and Fantasy” (1953); "The Roman" (1954); “The treasure of Africa” (1954).
And, again, "The most beautiful woman in the world" (1955); “Trapeze” (1956); “Notre-Dame de Paris” (1957); “Back to September” (1961); “Imperial Venus” (1962); “The Dolls” (1965); “A Beautiful November” (1969); “Mortal Sin” (1972); “A welcome guest… for my wife” (1972); “XXL” (1997). For television he works in the USA in "Falcon Crest", 1985. Among the numerous awards received by Lollobrigida also the Gold Marcus Aurelius of the Rome International Film Festival (2008) for his career. The 'Lollo' was also assigned the David di Donatello Special for the 60th anniversary of the ceremony.
