Raffaella Carrà in addition to being an icon of Italian music, she was also freedom icon against the bigotry of an all too closed generation. Her fame has also crossed national borders, becoming one of the most popular Italian artists abroad, especially in Latin america and Spain. To demonstrate the love that the Spaniards have for the Bolognese artist, two weeks after his death, the municipality of Madrid in fact, he dedicated a square to her (i.e. Plaza de Raffaella Carrà).

Bologna and the whole of Italy will always carry this in their hearts big musical icon and not only that, who with his songs and his rebellious spirit contributed to shake up the way of thinking and living of many Italians and beyond. With this initiative, via D'Azeglio is tinted a little with the spirit of the Carrà. This, as already happened with the lights dedicated to Lucio Dalla, makes us remember how much these artists have upset our country and, unfortunately, also how much we miss them.
