Each year is one of the most anticipated holidays for tourism in eastern Sicily. But Covid has stopped the 2020 edition. This year, in compliance with anti-contagion regulations, the Infiorata di Noto will take place. Thus it will be officially the greeting to spring and to the new tourist season that hopefully will start again after these difficult months. This year's edition which will take place from 14 to 16 May is number 42. And it has a special slogan. In fact, Noto also pays homage to the great poet Dante Alighieri on the XNUMXth anniversary of his death.
The edition of the Infiorata in full pandemic

The infioratori masters of Noto gather along the characteristic Via Nicolaci and create sketches, created by local artists and inspired by a specific theme. The long floral carpet measures approximately 700 square meters. The particularity of the Infiorata is also the choice of seasonal flowers. It is estimated that around 400 flowers are used. And therefore space for imagination, daisies, carnations, roses, wildflowers.
How the Infiorata will take place this year
But, it must be said, the visits will be monitored. It will not be possible to reach Noto, but follow the Infiorata through the social channels activated by the organization. The editions before the pandemic
The Infiorata di Noto, therefore, is a much awaited appointment. Every year there are many present. Visitors reach the Unesco heritage city to admire this spectacle of colors but also to taste the beauties of a site rich in history.
