Do you want to win a scholarship to learn Italian? This is your chance! The Italiani.it Foundation project has started. It promotes the study of the Italian language in the world. The project, intended for descendants of Italians (and not only) residing in Latin America, aims to offer an opportunity to access an Italian language course to people who have never studied Italian but who have the desire to do so.
The Italiani.it Foundation will fund 12 Italian language scholarships.
Italian language scholarships
The idea of offering scholarships was born bearing the values, mission and purpose of the Italiani.it project in mind: the spread of the Italian language and culture in the world. A goal that, day after day, involves all those who are part of the large italiani.it family: the largest network of Italians in the world.
This is the first time that we launch such a project and we want to make any effort to give those who, for various reasons, have never studied Italian the opportunity to start learning it. The scholarships of the Italiani.it Foundation are for adolescents and adults residing in Latin America.
Information this Italian language courses
The Italiani.it Foundation will fund 12 scholarships. The language course will be offered online, and the level corresponds to A1 (initial level according to the European mark of reference for the study of languages). Language course will start in August and end December 2020. A one-hour lesson. Students will have access to the material through various online platforms.
A calendar will be posted with the time slots for each lesson. Further information will be communicated to the scholarship winners before the start of the course.
Agreement between the Italiani.it Foundation and the "Calabrian Association of Buenos Aires, Mutual and Cultural"
Italian.it has made a partnership with the Calabrese Mutual and Cultural Association of Buenos Aires to carry out this project. Currently, the Association offers the community several foreign language courses. At the end of the course, the students will take a level exam endorsed by the Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires, to certify their knowledge of the language.
How to apply for scholarships?
Those who want to take the opportunity to win an Italian language scholarships will have to fill in the registration form. Candidates must send their personal data and answer some questions that will allow the subsequent selection of the beneficiaries of the study grants. They will also have to write down the reasons why they would like to learn Italian!
Selection of candidates
The selection of candidates will be carried out by the Italiani.it Foundation. Students must be resident in some of the cities of Latin America in which italiani.it has contacts, namely:
Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata man, Rosary, Missions, Mendoza, Cordova, Montevideo and Assumption. In addition, people residing in Tucumán, Río Negro, La Plata and Corrientes, where Italiani.it also has referents of its project, can participate and soon the new blogs will be online.
