Rome pays homage Lucio Dalla with the traveling exhibition "Lucio Dalla: Even if time passes"At the museum ofAra Pacis, open until 6 January 2023. The exhibition, organized by COR Create Organize, Edited by Alexander Nicosia with the Lucio Dalla Foundation traces the life and career of one of the most loved and appreciated songwriters in Italy. “Lucio Dalla: Even if time passes” showcases objects, records, film posters, caps, photos and documents relating to the artist. The exhibition is divided into 10 sections: Family-Childhood-Friendships-Musical beginnings, Dalla is told, The clarinet, The Lucio Dalla museum, his music, cinema, theater, television, Universo Dalla, Dalla and Roversi and finally, Dalla and Rome. In particular the section "Universe FromIs a collection of photos showing the Bolognese singer-songwriter in the company of singers, collaborators and personalities from the world of culture fundamental for Dalla's life and career.
This path gives visitors a complete narration by Lucio Dalla as an eclectic artist and as an extraordinarily brilliant man. Dalla was in fact an all-round artist, who knew how to range from music to theater.
"Lucio Dalla: Even if time passes": the love of Rome for the songwriter
Rome has a special relationship with the Bolognese artist. Dalla moved to the capital when he was alone 17 years and remained there until 1986 (at the end of the seventies he bought a house in Trastevere). The Eternal City had a great impact on Dalla and was a source of inspiration for some of his most famous songs. Just think of "The evening of miracles”, Written in 1980 in his home in Hole Alley 7, where there is now a plaque engraved with part of the final verse of the piece ("It's the night of miracles, be careful, someone in the alleys of Rome wrote a song ..."). In Rome Dalla met the likes of Federico Fellini e Andy Warhol and worked with a young man Carlo Verdone to the soundtrack of "Borotalco". The last part of the exhibition (Dalla and Rome) wants to remember this period and this never withered love of the capital for Lucio Dalla.
"Lucio Dalla: Even if time passes" made his debut in Bologna last year 4 March, on Dalla's 79th birthday. After Rome, this traveling exhibition will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the famous singer-songwriter, with the stages of Napoli, Pesaro e Milano, finally moving abroad as well. Despite the disappearance of 10 years ago a Montreux (Switzerland), Lucio Dalla is always present in the hearts of many fans and beyond. Dalla's songs were in fact there soundtrack of the life of many Italians, from the sixties until today. Even if time passes, it is impossible to forget Dalla's splendid songs, his own soul of a poet and its revolutionary spirit. His absence in the current Italian music scene is heavy as a boulder. Dear Lucio, we miss you more every day.
