Today's data, April 19, show an improving trend. More improvements, but keep it up!
The spread
The date of the daily infected people has decreased compared to yesterday. Today there have been 3,047 new cases, for a total of 178,972. These data are the result of 50,708 swabs, a large number of tests, but lower than the previous 3 days. The percentage of positive swabs is 6%, which is very important and remains low.
Other important data
Another very encouraging figure is that of the current positive cases, more 486 today, a very low number. This figure is certainly a consequence of the high number of healed people: 2,128. The epidemic curves also drops, from 2.02% to 1.73%.
From hospitals
The trend of decreasing hospital pressure continues, thanks to a large fall in the numebr of ICU patients. While we see a very slight increase in patients hospitalized with symptoms. There are 2,635 ICU patients, 98 less than yesterday. Slight increase in the number of patients hospitalized with symptoms, 26 more than yesterday, for a total of 25,033.
Death tools
The death toll finally falls, but still remains high. In fact, 433 people passed away in the last 24 hours, 49 less than yesterday.
