Pierre Cardin

Talent and inspiration allowed him to make a career quickly. Starting as a tailor's apprentice, marked the fashion of the twentieth century with an innovative style. Hired by XNUMX Elsa Schiaparelli, Christian Dior puts him in charge of his tailoring. In the 50s, however, he set up his own business, founding the maison that bears his name. Cardin he was also the first couturier ever to enter the Japanese market. Here come the PVC dresses, the goggles, the pullover-cocoons, shorts and boots in patent leather. His most famous creation is perhaps the Bubble Dress; inspired by his famous home on the Mediterranean. The villa is made up of a series of "bubbles" furnished in pure 60s futurist style, which is still innovative today. Cardin also owned a palace in Venice; Ca 'Bragadin, and in the lagoon city a few years ago, planned to build Palais Lumière. Unstoppable, even in old age, Cardin never stops creating and creating looking to the future he has always anticipated.
