Can a fiction really promote a location? Believing it is not difficult. Just think of what “A step from heaven” did for Lake Braies. The Sardinian town of San TeodoroHowever, it has done more: it has launched a fiction, or rather a web series, to promote itself. And to bring tourists there, in that corner of paradise in the heart of Gallura, bathed by a crystalline sea and known for its nightlife.

“Anna's summer”, the idea of fiction

Made by White Box Studio, "Anna's summer" was shot in San Teodoro. It is here that, for several weeks, Gianluca Vassallo and Francesco Mannironi directed the cast of young actors (the protagonists are Natalia Solona and Matteo Tedde, in the role of Anna and Marco). The crew filmed on the beaches and in the town center, inside the clubs and in the streets, with the splendid landscapes as a frame. Because, as much as the children, San Teodoro is the protagonist of the fiction: Puntaldia, la Cinta, Punta est, l'Isuledda and Monte Nieddu draw scenarios, tell stories, fill the screen with the colors of the sea, sky and nature. To act as the soundtrack, the voice of Dente with his "The summer of Clara".

"We fully embraced this project, there was a desire for novelty in communicating the territory. Instead of the usual tourist promotional video, we wanted something that also tells how good it is to live here”Explained Luciana Cossu, councilor for tourism of the municipality of San Teodoro. The episodes, a total of seven, will be published every Tuesday. They will tell the story of Anna, her summer which is a bit like everyone's: a summer of love, of new friends, of hearts beating madly, of parents with whom we clash and confront each other. "I thought back to our summers as kids, when you went to La Cinta and it was the best place in the world, and already in spring you were looking for the moment for a launch from the rock. You loved it, the territory, because it gave you something, you didn't go through things without seeing them. There, this must happen, even to those who come on holiday to San Teodoro: really live it, like Anna and Marco do“: These are the words of Cossu.

What to see and what to do in San Teodoro

San Teodoro is one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Sardinia. It will be for that sea that looks like an emerald, for the white beaches, for the clubs full of joy. Or maybe for thattropical air which earned him the nickname "Thaiti". What is certain is that, here, the views are a true fairy tale: the long beach of La Cinta, the Marina di Puntaldìa with its modern port, the distant charm of s'Isuledda. In San Teodoro it dominates the sea, the coasts and coves dominate. With yachts moored, children chasing each other. And those swims you wish would never end. Every day you can discover a new place here: the fragrant Cala Ginepro, the Coda Cavallo beach overlooking the island of Tavolara, Cala Ghjlgolu with its turtle-shaped rock. And then the hidden beaches, which few know and even fewer reach.

Beyond the beaches, even the "only" village is worth a visit. Santu Diadoru, as they call it here, in winter it has just over five thousand inhabitants. But it is in the summer that it comes alive, that is filled with life and laughter. Scents from restaurants and trattorias (the Gallura soup with bread, cheese and beef broth is truly unmissable!), From the shadow of the moon and stars. Of that magical atmosphere that in Sardinia you can breathe and that, "Anna's summer", try to tell today.
