We are now deeply immersed in the Christmas atmosphere but in the entertainment world the 73rd edition of the Sanremo festival is already knocking on the door. The artistic director Amadeus has revealed the names of the singers in the competition who are: Giorgia, Article 31, Elodie, Colapesce Dimartino, Aries, Modà, Mara Sattei, Leo Gassmann. Country Cousins, Mr Rain, Marco Mengoni, Anna Oxa, Lazza, Tananai. And, again, Paola and Chiara, Lda, Madame, Gianluca Grignani, Rosa Chemical, Coma Cose, Levante, Ultimo. These are the artists who will compete for the title of winner of the 73rd edition of the Italian song festival.

“It was a difficult choice, but I'm very happy – he underlined Amadeus – of these 22 singers. I thank all those who made me listen to one of their songs, or more than one song, the discography, the singers, everyone. It was a wonderful job. Do you think I received at least 300 songs. Now there is so much to do; Friday 16 December there will be the final of Sanremo Giovani to complete the cast of big names and then many new features”.
After the successes of the past few years which saw the winners and several competing artists awarded by the Italian and international rankings, the artistic director has decided to increase the number of big names for the 2023 edition. With a change to the regulation, Amadeus has in fact decided to double, from 3 to 6, the number of kids who, as winners of Sanremo Giovani, will have the opportunity to participate in the festival in the 'Champions' category. An absolute novelty in the history of the festival that underlines the attention of Amadeus' artistic direction to music and contemporary market trends.
Appointment, therefore, with the most famous singing festival in Italy scheduled in the city of flowers from 7 to 11 February next.
