More and more women are expatriating from their homeland to go to faraway places.

The step that precedes the expatriation is scary but the modern woman finds the courage to face this great challenge.

And you? Are you an expatriate? Do you know anyone who did it?

How do you imagine it to be? What are courage and fear to you?

Close your eyes and think about your fears and try to perceive the strength of courage that appears in women when they leave the country: the strength to leave loved ones, memories and the past towards a new future.
If you are an expat, go back in time: reflect on what frightened you, look at that image of you on a train or plane, as you watch your city depart towards the new destination.

Think back to the tears shed, the smiles, the emotions and feelings that, I bet, are still vivid in your mind ... You have goosebumps, right?
If this thought has moved something in you, tell us: “Women who Emigrate Abroad” wants to hear your story!

Give free rein to the writer in you, send us a story of no more than 6.000 lines, real or fictional, the 10 best stories will be published in an anthology edited by Innocenti Publisher.
Your words can motivate some women to take the plunge, they can help them face their fears and rediscover the courage that resides in their heart, just like yours and every woman's.

Read  gang of the competition and send us your story no later than July 31, 2017!

This Literary Competition was held together with Feminine culture, blog of women's literature and culture.

We want to thank you Fabiola Falcone, author of the collective blog Women who Emigrate Abroad and correspondent from the island of Mallorca, for writing this article
