Wine & Siena the masterpieces of taste: at Santa Maria della Scala a rich showcase of the finest wine labels, excellence awarded by The Wine Hunter Award. From 27 to 30 January next, in fact, there will be 600 labels to be tasted for Wine&Siena 2023 from all regions of Italy. In addition to wine, there are also the excellences of gastronomy: chocolates, cheeses, oil, meats and cured meats, beer, cured meats, pasta, rice, cereals, grappas and liqueurs and much more. Products all rigorously made in Italy.

The masterpieces of taste

Siena, therefore, confirms itself as the perfect location for the first major Italian event of the year concerning wine; all exhibitors are on the website at https://wineandsiena.com/. Among the wine labels there will also be bubbles like lo Champagne. And then the Alta Langa piedmontese, Oltrepo Pavese, Franciacorta, Prosecco Doc from Valdobbiadene. In the prestigious halls of Santa Maria della Scala there will be the fragrant mountain wines of theSouth Tyrol, the wines of the Friulian Collio, the precious wines of Amalfi Coast, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Fiano, Greco from Campania and there will be no shortage of whites from Etna in Sicily, Tuscan Vermentini and Viognier as well as Piedmontese Timorasso.

Moving on to the reds, you can taste Lambrusco, Sagrantino di Montefalco, Barolo and Barbera from Piedmont. From Tuscany there will be Chianti and Chianti Classico, Nobile and Brunello, Montecucco, Bolgheri, Carmignano, Valdarno Superiore. Sicily will be present with Etna Rosso, Nero d'Avola, Syrah. There will also be Pelaverga, the wine that comes from an autochthonous Piedmontese black grape variety, mainly grown in the province of Cuneo, with a scent of rose and raspberry and light notes of geranium.

Siena capital of Made in Italy food and wine excellence

 The eighth edition of Wine&Siena will be held in the prestigious halls of Santa Maria della Scala. The event, wanted by the Patron of Merano WineFestival Helmuth Köcher and by the president of Confcommercio Siena Stefano Bernardini, records the numerous presence of producers and visitors in the town Tuscany where cultural heritage marries the best wine and food productions awarded by The WineHunter Award. Valuable collaborations with the Chamber of Commerce of Arezzo Siena, the Municipality of Siena, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. The event is also sponsored by The Tuscan Regional Authority. Wine&Siena will be divided into a journey between unique locations such as the Palazzo Comunale, the Grand Hotel Continental Siena – Starhotels Collection and the Santa Maria della Scala.
