Christmas lunch with the poor, a tradition of the Community of Sant'Egidio. Below is the solidarity message of the community for the festivity now imminent: "Christmas is approaching and, this year too we want it to be a day of peace for everyone, starting with the poorest: the elderly alone, families in difficulty, people who have no home".

“They are our friends all year round, but on this special day it seems important to us that they feel the warmth of a family. It is also a message of solidarity addressed to Italy so that our cities are more humane and livable for everyone, starting with those most in need.
For this reason we prepare it with great care: in all the cities where the Community is present, gifts are collected, the places are decorated, invitations are distributed.
To do this, everyone's help is needed, without exception. Do you want to help us?
