After 21 years, the triumphant of theInternational Harp Contest held in Acre (Israel). The twenty-first edition of the famous competition saw in fact triumph Claudia Lucia Lamanna, a young harpist from Noci (a town in the province of Bari) with a career studded with successes.
Who is Claudia Lucia Lamanna
Begun six months ago, with 49 participants, the International Harp Contest is the oldest sector competition in the world. In the final phase of its 21st edition, Claudia Lucia Lamanna triumphed, who beat Lea Maria Loeffler (Germany) and Beatriz Cortesao (Portugal). Twenty-six, Lamanna she graduated in harp when she was only 15 years old, earning full marks and honors at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli. Subsequently, in the same conservatory, she obtained the second level degree with 110 cum laude and with an attached honorable mention. She is not happy, she has improved further at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels and continued his journey in Sweden. Here you have successfully earned the Artist Diploma at the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo, studying with Isabelle Perrin.
Performing in numerous concerts all over the world, and treading stages of the caliber of Royal Albert Hall, London, or of the Merkin Concert Hall in New York, the harpist from Noci has made himself known by the international audience managing to win numerous prizes of the highest level. Winning the International Harp Contest is just the latest in a long list. In spite of his young age, Lamanna boasts numerous international prizes, including the victory at the tenth USA International Harp Competition in 2017, the first prize at the "Claudio Abbado Prize", the first prize at the Thailand International Harp Festival and Youth Competition, and the trophy offered by the Queen of Thailand.
