Postcards from portorosso: Dear Luca, life is fantastic here in Portorosso… Thus begins the trailer for the new Disney-Pixar short "Hi Alberto", Dedicated to the co-star of"Luca"of Enrico casarosa, animated film launched last June right on Disney + which has achieved extraordinary success. “Ciao Alberto” is a sequel (or rather a spin-off) of the film set in Cinque Terre, in the fictional village of Portorosso (inspired by Monterosso). However, the director will not be Enrico Casarosa, as in the feature film, but the director McKenna Harris. In recent days, Disney-Pixar has released the first official trailer of the short that will arrive next 12th November on the Disney streaming platform.

What is "Hello Alberto" about

As already mentioned, “Ciao Alberto” is a mini sequel to the much appreciated “Luca”. It tells the story of the sea monster Alberto Scorpano remained in Portorosso after the departure of Luca e Giulia for Genoa. The official synopsis of the short was published on the Disney-Pixar social account last October 13, without however giving too many details on the plot. Alberto has now settled perfectly among the inhabitants and lets his friend know Luca how his life goes on in the small Ligurian village, between one trouble and another. Alberto lives and works with the fisherman Massimo (Giulia's father), who considers "the coolest human there is". As seen in the feature film, Alberto was abandoned by his father and Massimo he misses his daughter, who only returns to Portorosso in the summer. This short could therefore reveal the bond growth between the two characters, now a fundamental part of each other's life.

Luke was the Disney-Pixar movie he has celebrated Italy and made the international public love it even more, thanks to Enrico Casarosa. This feature could not have come at a better time. 2021 was (and continues to be) a golden year for Italy. From the victory of the Moonlight atEuro Vision Song Contest, Via Euro 2020,gold in 100 meters indoors di Marcell Jacobs a Tokyo 2020, up to the award-winning Parmigiano Reggiano, World Cheese Awards 2021 (to name a few) this year Italy was truly on top of the world. “Hi Alberto” is meant to be one of the most viewed shorts end of 2021 on Disney +. If it were to be a big hit with the public, Disney could also think of a new feature film, sequel to Luca. Alternatively, a TV series could also be born entirely dedicated to Alberto's adventures in Portorosso. Does Disney already have something in mind?
