Transform the Black Friday shopping day into a moment dedicated to social, economic and environmental sustainability with Green Week. The third edition of the 'green week' organized by Acqua dell'Elba – Società Benefit returns from 21 to 27 November. And by the Acqua dell'Elba Foundation, a non-profit organization created to help protect the island's ecosystem and enhance its social and cultural heritage.

A week of events, workshops and initiatives that will focus on the care of the territory and people, with particular attention to future generations. And which will be an opportunity to present the sustainability and social responsibility activities of the Acqua dell'Elba Foundation, scheduled for 2023. Activities dedicated to the environment, education, culture, health and art. The launch of Seif 21 will open Green Week on November 2023st (Sea Essence International Festival) the first international festival dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the sea and its essence. The festival will come back to animate the Island of Elba next summer with its fifth themed edition "Transitions”.
At the heart of the debate is the need to integrate the ecological transition into new environmental, economic and social balances. During the first day of Green Week, the Foundation will talk about the state of the art and future developments of the project 'The Way of Essence' which will create, in collaboration with the National Park ofTuscan archipelago, the coastal path of the Island of Elba. On the health issue, however, collaboration with the associations continues EndoElbain support of women with endometriosis. And Unlike Sani Elba Onlus, a point of reference in Elba for i cancer patients and their families. Furthermore, a call for tenders will be proposed to co-finance projects of the Public Assistance of the Island of Elba.
Possea Project
The education sector will also be fundamental for 2023 for the Acqua dell'Elba Foundation, with a series of initiatives that will kick off during Green Week. On 24 November, at the Istituto Foresi, the 'Possea' project by Marta Musso, a young marine biologist and winner of the 2022 Donna di Mare Award, will be presented to students of Elba's secondary schools. Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of Unesco in the context of the Decade of Marine Sciences for sustainable development (2021-2030). With "Possea" Marta Musso has transformed an old German postal van into a traveling laboratory to tell and explore the world of plankton, between field experiences and learning workshops.
