Riccardo Casarico loves photographing nature, capturing the moment when the light becomes dim and capturing the essence of the moment. We asked him to tell us about him but, you will see, he prefers to tell about himself through his photos and videos.

When and how did you discover your passion for photography and video?

Since I was a child in my free time I have always been attracted by creativity, by communication through something created by me. The truth, anyone who knows me from a young age knows, is that I started following my idea of communication through the writing of rap songs, but singing I was a landslide and I would never have gone beyond listening to family and friends.

Then photography has arrived, and luckily it went differently. It has been a passion cultivated over the years, the Monza Park (especially in autumn) has been my "study room", there is nothing better than photographing the same place a hundred times to improve from time to time.
The passion for videos instead was born recently, only in recent years, and as for photography I studied everything by myself trying to learn the various shooting / editing techniques by watching the various videos on social.

What inspires your creativity as a photographer and videographer?

I love what nature offers, especially in moments with fewer people, so at sunrise or sunset.
But the real challenge is to photograph the various places even during the day and make them "attractive", when the light is less dim or when it is full of people and you have to find a way to "hide" them, for example by using external elements as a frame in the first place. floor.

What is your favorite photo / video and why?

I don't actually have a favorite photograph, good or bad I am linked to all of them from the first to the last.
If I had to choose I would say my videos, in particular the one from India (which is the last one I made thanks to clips shot during the trip, between one photo and another), not so much because I like it more than to the photographs, but because I know the patience and the hard work that went into just 3min of video.

Do you have a dream in the drawer?

I have a lot! And I'll be happy to show them to you little by little over the next few years with my shots!
