Alba white truffle sold for 184 thousand euros. The precious record mushroom weighed 700 grams and was auctioned off, thus setting a world record. In fact, 184 euros are definitely a hyperbolic figure for the truffle that has become the property of a wealthy Hong Kong connoisseur.
The white truffle of records
The man has in fact participated in the auction which was held at Grinzane Cavour Castle in Cuneo and which saw this large specimen of mushroom as the protagonist. Apparently, among the most sought after of the moment. The Alba International White Truffle Fair has confirmed itself as a great international success. So much so that in past editions similar figures had never been reached during the auction of truffles. Meanwhile, the kermesse for connoisseurs will go on until 4 December.
In particular, this year a total figure of 600 thousand euros has been reached which will be added to the 6 million euros reached in the twenty-two previous editions. The great event was attended by 200 guests selected according to tradition by the Order of the Knights of the Truffle and the wines of Alba. In streaming mode, numerous guests connected by also interacted Singapore, Vienna, Seoul, Doha and Hong Kong.
