The proposal of a chocolate cream is truly a great classic of Italian cuisine. It is a sweet experience that everyone likes. In fact, it is a recipe that you can make even if you are not very experienced in the kitchen. Equally it is a homemade dessert suitable for all occasions. Above all it is ideal for filling cakes, cream puffs and tarts. The chocolate cream recipe is really very simple.

Chocolate cream: ingredients

Even if you are a beginner in the kitchen, preparing this chocolate cream is very simple. In fact, we can say that it is a dessert for everyone. The ingredients for half a liter of cream are:

  • 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder,
  • 300 ml whole milk,
  • 30 g "00" flour,
  • 3 egg yolks,
  • 100 g sugar.

We are now ready to start making our cream.

Preparation

To start, let's take a large enough bowl. Then we pour inside the egg yolks and sugar. Then we can work the two ingredients by mixing with whips. We continue to mix until the sugar has dissolved completely. Then, when the dough becomes light and fluffy, we combine the bitter cocoa with the flour. While we continue to mix, we add the milk slowly. So, once we have a soft and smooth cream, without lumps, we pour it into a non-stick pan. Now let's cook everything over very low heat. You have to be especially careful to mix constantly. In fact, this is important to ensure that the cream does not burn.

Then, when the mixture comes to a boil, lower the heat a little more. In the same way we leave it like this for a few seconds and then turn off the heat. Finally we let our chocolate cream cool. Now we are ready to use it to garnish desserts or to pour it directly into bowls. After giving it time to cool, the chocolate cream is ready to be enjoyed. Enjoy your meal!
