The number of infected persons per day continues to decline, showing a slowdown in the growth of infections. Today, in fact, 2,667 new cases have been recorded, reaching a total of 165,155. These data are the result of 43,715 swabs, a growing number compared to the last few days. Among other things, we have the lowest percentage of swabs tested positive, 6.1%.
Other important data
The number of positives is currently growing: 1,127 today, while yesterday only 675 new positives cases were recorded. This increase is due to a drop in the number of healed people, only 962 today. The epidemic curve is again bending, reaching 1.64%, compared to 1.86% yesterday.
From hospital
Data from hospitals are undoubtedly the most encouraging. Intensive care patients are continuously decreasing. ICU patients are 3,079, -107 out of the total number. Yesterday the decrease had been of 74 beds. An excellent drop also in patients with symptoms, -368 patients.
Death tool
Unfortunately, death tool remains high. Today, 578 patients suffering from Covid-19 passed away. As already said, this figure will be the last to drop, being the consequence of the contagions of the previous weeks.
